Joshua Lee Managing Partner

Joshua Lee Managing Director

Joshua is responsible for Two Coins Group's business development, growth strategy, and overall infrastructure in the US / China. Prior to founding Two Coins Group, Joshua was responsible for leading Ernst & Young's Quantitative Services Group in the Pacific Southwest, and spent over a decade heading up their business development efforts that primarily focused on the technology and R&D sectors. His clients ranged from start-up to Fortune 100 companies, some of which included Activision-Blizzard, Znyga, Google, Bizrate.com/Shopzilla, Edmunds.com, Broadcom, and the like. Having founded several funds and projects that expand across many global markets, Joshua currently serves on several boards and is especially interested in partnering with growing companies in the mobile, gaming /entertainment, and specialized IP industries.

 

Derek Wong SVP Of Operations

Derek Wong Senior VP Of Operations

Derek is the co-founder of iCore Health, and has been deeply involved in the mobile and medical fitness/device industries. With a Masters degree in Mechanical engineering, Derek was the lead engineer at various technology companies, including Skyworks and Mindspeed Technologies. Most recently, he secured over $15 million sales annually with his design work and development, and continues to bring this same type of experience to Two Coins Group.

After finishing University in Los Angeles I remained in the city and spent the first few years working for startup and tech companies. Following this, I decided to move back home to Canada to work with brands, such as; Microsoft and Nintendo. In between working the agency life for several years, I had the opportunity to develop location-based entertainment opportunities in China and the Middle- East.

Grant Kahn is a senior executive in entertainment and consumer products with an extensive background of working with major studios in the United States and the Asian marketplace. He has over 20 years of international business development experiences by marketing and selling products to Fortune 500 companies in Asia-Pacific; forging key relationships with senior-level executives within the leading Asian markets, including Samsung Group, Mitsubishi Corporation, CJ Group, Hyundai Group, 7-Eleven, Domino’s Pizza, Sumitomo Corporation, Starbucks, KFC, Airport Shops, Airline Catering and more. Furthermore, Kahn has relationships and access to the following companies in the United States: Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Fox Entertainment, NBC-Universal, DreamWorks, Lions Gate, Hasbro Studios, Saban Brands, Walmart, Amazon, Yahoo, Los Angeles Lakers, and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

Carey Lai joined Intel Capital as an Investment Director in July 2011 and focuses on Internet-Enabled Consumer and Marketing Services, Digital Media, Technology-Enabled Cloud Services and Virally-Adopted Software. Carey joined Intel Capital from Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) where he was a Vice President focused on fast growing later-stage investments. While at IVP, his investments included ArcSight (HPQ), Business.com (DEXO), Concur (CNQR), ConnectAndSell, Danger (MSFT), Data Domain (EMC), HomeAway (AWAY), Mobile365 (SAP), SuccessFactors (SFSF), and Synchronoss (SNCR). Carey also worked in the Technology Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities as a Financial Analyst focused on Software and Financial Technology. His transaction experience included offerings for some of the leading technology companies, including Blackbaud Software (BLKB), Computer Associates (CA), Hewlett Packard (HPQ), Sungard Data Systems (SDS), and Tibco Software (TIBX). Earlier in his career, Carey worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers focused on the Software sector as well as at eBay in Business Development. Carey holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in International Economics from the University of California Los Angeles

 

Kevin Kang Southwest Securities

Kevin Kang

Kevin Kang is an Associate at Southwest Securities Investment Banking Division, spearheading in the area of International Mergers and Acquisitions. Kevin is proficient at both speaking and writing in Chinese Mandarin and actively participates in Hong Kong M&A activities as well as capturing USA investment opportunities. In 2013, his department was responsible for over 50% of the total Invest Banking revenue at Southwest Securities with 100% project approval rate by the Chinese Securities Exchange Commission.
